The American Optometric Association recommends that children have their first eye exam at six months of age. In order for your child's visual system to develop properly, it is important that any eye problems be detected early. The sooner problems are found, the better the long term visual outcome will be. If you do not have insurance to cover your child's first comprehensive eye exam, we will provide it to you at no charge between the ages of 6 to 12 months.
