The American Optometric Association recommends that children have their first eye exam at six months of age. In order for your child's visual system to develop properly, it is important that any eye problems be detected early. The sooner problems are found, the better the long term visual outcome will be. If you do not have insurance to cover your child's first comprehensive eye exam, we will provide it to you at no charge between the ages of 6 to 12 months. Click on our online scheduling link to schedule your child today.

Are you tired of wearing glasses or contact lenses? Not sure if you want to have surgery to correct your vision? Vision Shaping may be just the solution! With Vision Shaping, you wear a retainer contact lens while you sleep to reshape the front surface of the eye (the cornea) for perfect vision during waking hours. Vision shaping is ideal for athletes, people who work in dusty or smokey environments and those who just don't want to wear their glasses or contact lenses anymore. Southaven Vision Center will be hosting an informational meeting about Vision Shaping in March. Click here to take our Vision Shaping survey about which evening is best for you to attend the meeting!
